Talking Out of School Newsletter and Recent Events
The pace of change in schools is exhausting - just when you think you’ve solved one crisis, another comes around the corner. And yet, most school leaders feel deeply fortunate to work in service to kids and families and ultimately, are hopeful for the future.
While the problems are significant and the solutions tricky, there’s lots of possibilities, large and small, once we embrace candor. We’re passionate about the potential for stronger interpersonal connections to elevate and improve everything from governance to the drop off line.
Every week, we publish on a topic on leadership and school change, always including actionable advice and a good dose of humor. Regularly, we’ll interview another independent school leader or expert who’ll share their insights in all areas of school life.
Free subscribers get weekly wisdom delivered to their inbox, every Friday.
Paid subscribers also receive a two 45 minute coaching or consulting sessions with Julie Faulstich, six “Links and Recommendations” curated posts per year, often with board or senior team relevant articles on topics of school leadership (with gift links!) and access to a full archive of over 200 helpful TOOS posts.
Most of all, paid subscriptions support the work and enable it to continue reaching a wide audience of schools.
